The Supreme Court has removed Stella Oduah and Andy Uba of the Peoples Democratic Party as lawmakers representing Anambra State.
It also ruled on the conflict between the PDP factions in the state.
The two national legislators who represent Anambra South and Anambra North senatorial zones, respectively, were said to have been put on judicial notice since December 7, 2015, by the Court of Appeal Tribunal sitting in Enugu, in the details of its verdict in the matter between Senator Uche Ekwunife vs Chief Victor Umeh.
According to the Court of Appeal, Ekwunife was not a product of any known valid party primary.
Incidentally, she was on the same political page of ‘nomination’ with Uba and Oduah, the verdict on the legal tussle over the source and manner of their emergence has been pending and fixed for today, Friday, January 29, at the Supreme Court.
