More troubles were thrown the part of the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh, Thursday as Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions (EFCC) re-arraigned him on a fresh seven counts charge of alleged corruption.
The EFCC told the court Metuh allegedly received the sum of N400 million through his company, Destra Investments Ltd from the office of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Col. Sambo Dasuki in November 2014.
Metuh however pleaded not guilty.
Metuh’s counsel Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), leading three other Senior Advocates of Nigeria, pleaded for the former bail terms to be retained. The application was granted by Justice Okon Abang.
The defence lawyers are now expected to open Metuh’s defence.at the next hearing.
