*’Operators To Help Liberalise FOREX Market’
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has granted licenses to more International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) to operate in Nigeria.The CBN said the resolve to offer licenses to the operators was in furtherance of its efforts to liberalise the Foreign Exchange Market while ensuring liquidity and make foreign exchange more readily available to low end users.
A press statement signed by Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Isaac Okoroafor, said it granted the licenses in line with the existing guidelines on International Money Transfer Services in Nigeria (2014)
The International Monetary Transfer Operators granted licenses include,
TRANS-FAST REMITTANCE LLC
UAE EXCHANGE CENTRE LLC
SMALL WORLD FINANCIAL SERVICES GROUP LIMITED
WEBLINK INTERNATIONAL LIMITED
DT&T CORPORATION LIMITED
FIEM GROUP LLC DBA PING EXPRESS
CP EXPRESS LIMITED
The CBN, according to Okoroafor reiterated its commitment to providing an enabling environment for international money transfer services in Nigeria.
