Edo Election: APC Agent Slumps, Dies After Casting Vote

A chieftain and agent of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Unit 10 Ward 8 in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State did not live long enough to see the result of governorship election that took place in the state last Wednesday as he was said to have slumped and died immediately after casting his vote.
The party agent whose name was given as Solomon Omoregbe was until his demise a strong believer in Godwin Obaseki’s candidacy.
He was said to have been rushed to Akugbe Hospital by his eldest son and other sympathisers immediately he slumped.
It was not until the chief medical Director (CMD) of the hospital confirmed him dead on arrival, did any believe he would ‘just die like that’, said one of the sympathizers.
When our correspondent visited the family’s house of the deceased the children and friends were seen woearing sad looks. Omoregbe was aged 58.
