President Muhammadu Buhari has not cancelled a planned medical visit to the United Kingdom.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu said on Thursday that President Buhari has not changed his plan to return to his doctors in London for medical follow-ups.
However, Shehu did not disclose when Buhari will return to London.
There were reports in some quarters that Buhari had cancelled his trip to London, rather he had invited his physicians to come to Nigeria for the check ups.
Shehu debunked this as he said: “It is false news. We are not aware of the reported advance movements.
“The last time the President spoke about this, he said he would return to his doctors after some time. We are not aware that this has changed.
The President’s trip to the UK had generated speculation that he was seriously ill with some even saying he had passed away although this was refuted several times by his aides.
Presient Buhari returned from London on Friday, March 10 after 51-day medical vacation in the UK for an undisclosed illness.
