The hoodlums who probably came to rob their home sighted her in the bathroom and then raped and macheted her till her very last breath.
Barakat’s father, Kasimu Bello narrated the sad incident to newsmen in Ibadan.
Mr. Kasimu Bello said the incident occurred at a time when nobody was at home, adding that Barakat’s younger sister came home and discovered the horrible incident which happened in their Ibadan home.
Mr. Kasimu Bello said:
“Barakat’s younger sister who came back from Ile Kewu (Quranic lessons) was the first to detect the sad incident.
“She was lying in the pool of blood with different marks on her body. Her sister had just been raped. Not just that but brutalised till the point of death.”
“The person that called me on the phone did not tell me the exact thing that happened but I knew it was something bad when I heard his voice on the phone. I left where I was quickly only to find the body of my daughter.”
According to Mr. Kasimu Bello, police officers from Kara police station arrived that same Monday evening for investigation. They collected the corpse.
