Bishop Howells School marks 40th anniversary


The 40th anniversary of Bishop Howells Memorial Grammar School (BHMGS), an offshoot of the Lagos Anglican Schools Management Board, will hold on October 3, 2020, with lots of activities.

Speaking on the occasion of the Chairman, Board of Governors, Mr. Oluseyi Ogungbe, said the school, which emerged from the prestigious C.M.S. Grammar School, Bariga and founded on October 3, 1980, would be exactly 40.

Ogungbe said the school had resolved to make the centenary a whole-year event and reflect on the importance of the landmark achievement.

He said: “The undying and sustained determination of Anglican Church, enabling laws and policies of government as well as sweats of all those that laboured to shape and keep the school, have become a veritable assessment-index and proud reference point for sound and round educational impartation for learners in the school.
