Council hails CDA over project


Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area Olusesan Daini has urged the Community Development Associations (CDAs) to initiate projects impacting  residents.

He spoke at the opening of Sholumade Irepodun CDA Office.

Represented by Head of Department of Agric and Social Services Mrs Kafila Oshodi, Daini hailed the CDA for being the first to set up a office for its activities.

“This office underscores the need for CDAs to think more on ways their activities will be felt by residents. This will help members to exchange communication frequently with their executives rather than wait till monthly meetings,” Daini said.

Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku CDC Abayomi Adelakun urged other CDAs to emulate the two-year old Sholumade Irepodun CDA.

Chairman of Sholumade Irepodun CDA Adetola Badekale said incorporating a business centre into the functions of the CDA Office was a response to the challenge faced by members, who travelled some distance for secretarial services.
