Jigawa State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Habibu Sara had been suspended indefinitely.
Sara was suspended after a meeting of the state party caucus held at Dutse Government House yesterday.
When contacted on phone, the suspended chairman, said: “It is an act of God Almighty.”
He said: “All is part of politics and one day we will leave the world talk less of a position.”
He promised to remain a loyal party member and ready to do everything within the law to promote and maintain the progress and popularity of the party.
No reason was given by the party on its decision to suspend the chairman, but a source in the party said the suspension was in connection with 2023 general elections.
