NFC calls for entry, announces dates

The Nigerian Film corporation has called for entry ahead of the 2020 ZUMA film festival.

NFC’s Managing Director and Chairman, Organising Committee of ZUFF, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, made the announcement after unveiling the dates for the 2020 edition.

The film festival has been scheduled to take place between December 1, 2020 and December 7, 2020 in Abuja under the theme “Content Connectivity – 2: Everyview, Everywhere.”

Madueke also noted that entry for the 11th edition of ZUMA Film Festival opens on September 1, 2020 and closes on November 15, 2020.

According to NFC’s Head of Public Affairs,Brian Etuk, this year’s edition shall have a combination of physical and virtual attendance/participation.

Award categories for the festival will include Best Cinematography, Best Script, Best Animation, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Documentary, Best Foreign Film, Best Student Film, Best Picture, Best Indigenous Film.

Etuk further said that the 2020 edition will, among others, focus on sustaining the conversation on harnessing the potentials and opportunities inherent in digital content production, marketing and distribution.
