Bagudu appoints acting HOS

Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu on Wednesday announced the appointment of Alhaji Sefiyanu Garba Bena as the Head of Civil Service (HOS), in acting capacity.

Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Babale Umar Yauri, briefing reporters in his office in Birnin Kebbi,

said based on the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as Amended, the governor is empowered to make such appointments from among permanent secretaries.

The SSG reiterated that the HOS is to be in acting capacity pending his confirmation or appointment of a substantive HOS.

He described Bena as an accomplished civil servant, who has performed his duties efficiently at the Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals. He wished him success in his new appointment.

Until his new appointment, Bena was the permanent secretary, Office of the SSG and later permanent secretary (Security) at the Cabinet Office.
