Africa: Gambia’s Candidate for AU Top Job Withdraws in Favour of Nigeria


[The Point] Former Vice President of The Gambia nominated by President Adama Barrow for the position of deputy chairperson of the African Union Commission had withdrawn her candidature in concession by ECOWAS to favour Nigeria’s bid for Commissioner for Peace and Security in the African Union instead.
