Thursday was another sad day for Nigeria’s entertainment industry as two actors passed on within hours of each other.
Shehu Jibril, the famous comedian popularly known as “Golobo” died on Thursday morning in Talatan Mafara, Zamfara State where he hailed from. Golobo who was more popular in Kannywood and the Hausa speaking states hosted a weekly TV series on the Nigerian Television Authority in the 1980s.
His most recent appearance was in the Hausa movie, “Maiciki”. in which he co-starred with the likes of Jamila Nagudu and Rabilu Musa “Ibro”.
While Jibril was being mourned up North, Charles Warren too passed on late on Thursday evening. He was said to have complained of chest pains and was taken to the hospital where he eventually gave up.
Warren’s big break was in 2001 when he acted in “Mark of the Beast”, a film that featured Majek Fashek. He was also one of the script writers for dear mother.
