The Okolo family of Anambra state has publicly disowned the purported marriages of their sons, Nonso Michael Okolo and Arinze Norbert Okolo, to Adaeze Nwajagu and Chinaza Isabella Enemuo, respectively.

The Okolo family, from Alor in Idemili South LGA of Anambra state, has officially issued legal notices disassociating themselves from the alleged marriages of their sons.

The marriages in question are between Nonso Michael Okolo and Adaeze Nwajagu of Umuchukwu Town, Orumba South LGA, and between Arinze Norbert Okolo and Chinaza Isabella Enemuo of Ogboji Town, Orumba South LGA.

According to the family’s lawyers, these marriages, involving their sons and their girlfriends, did not receive the family’s consent.

Any planned marriage arrangements are therefore considered invalid, unlawful, and without customary effect.

The family has also issued a warning that any attempt to lure their sons, who reside abroad, back to Nigeria under false pretenses will be treated as a criminal act.

The families involved will be held personally and legally liable.

Authorities, town unions, and security agencies have been officially notified of the family’s decision, which they state is final.

The Okolo family cited irreconcilable differences in values and beliefs with the proposed brides as the reason for their decision.
