Governor Bago dissolves Niger executive council

    Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has dissolved the State Executive Council, ending the tenure of his cabinet members.

    Despite the shake-up, key officials including the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and a few principal aides were retained.

    His Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, disclosed that the decision was announced on Monday, September 1, during the council’s meeting at the Government House in Minna.

    Governor Bago commended the former appointees for their service and dedication to the state’s development, while extending his best wishes for their future endeavours.
