Grace Adayilo, who made history as the first Head of the Civil Service in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has died.

She passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 1, a development confirmed by Anthony Odey, the Special Assistant on Media to the HoS.

He, however, declined to provide further information on the circumstances surrounding her death.

Appointed by President Bola Tinubu on October 6, 2024, Adayilo was both the pioneer occupant of the office and the first woman to hold the role.

Before her elevation, she served as the Permanent Secretary in the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.
