Military forces eliminate several terrorists in Zamfara following raid on their hideouts

    Nigerian troops have eliminated several terrorists during a raid on their hideouts in Tsafe Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara State.

    Soldiers from the 1 Brigade, in collaboration with Operation Forest Yinzuya (OPFY), carried out an offensive against the suspected terrorists on Friday, December 6.

    The operation reportedly aimed at several terrorist hideouts after weeks of gathering intelligence on their activities.

    The troops which were supported by the Air force, engaged the terrorists in a firefight, causing casualties and forcing the others to retreat.

    An unknown number of terrorists were reported killed in the raid, while others were targeted in air strikes as they tried to flee with cattle.

    The troops also seized three motorcycles that had been left behind by the terrorists.
