PDP current, ex-governors in Akwa Ibom to seek ways to end party crisis

    Past and current Governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have arrived in Akwa Ibom state to engage in discussions that will help put an end to the party’s crisis.

    Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State had earlier arrived in the state and he was met by the Akwa Ibom state governor, Umo Eno, who is also a party member.

    The meeting is expected to hold at the State Governor’s lodge, in Uyo, the state capital.

    Also, present is Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who is now in the state alongside former governors of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike; Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu; Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi; and Benue State, Samuel Ortom.

    The meeting, which is expected to play host to all 13 governors elected on the platform of the party, will deliberate on a wide range of issues including the state of the nation as well as that of the PDP Governors’ Forum, the leadership of the party, among others.

    Also, present at the meeting are Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State, and Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State.
