President Bola Tinubu is set to depart for Paris, France, on Wednesday for a brief working visit.

A statement from presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga revealed that the purpose of the visit is for the president to evaluate the progress of his administration’s mid-term performance and review significant milestones achieved thus far.

“He will also use the retreat to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.

“This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year,” the statement said.

Recent economic achievements highlight the President’s dedication to his goals, with the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, reporting a notable rise in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion. This marks a significant improvement from the $3.99 billion in reserves reported in 2023, underscoring the success of the administration’s fiscal reforms.

During his time abroad, Onanuga assured that President Tinubu would stay actively involved with his team and continue to oversee government operations.

“He will return to Nigeria in about a fortnight,” the statement read.
