Olubadan elevates 4 high chiefs in Balogun line

    The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Sen) Adewolu Ladoja, on Friday, September 18, approved the elevation of four high chiefs in the Balogun chieftaincy line.

    The four high chiefs were elevated to new positions in the traditional hierarchy of Ibadanland.

    1. Oba Abiodun Azeez Agagugu was elevated from Ashipa Balogun to Osi Balogun of Ibadanland.
    2. Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin was elevated from Ekerin Balogun to Ashipa Balogun of Ibadanland.
    3. Oloye Agba (Sen) Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli was elevated from Ekarun Balogun to Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland.
    4. Oloye Agba Samuel Adegboyega Adeniran was elevated from Abese Balogun to Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, thereby becoming a member of the Olubadan-in-Council.

    Ladoja congratulated the newly promoted high chiefs and charged them to continue serving Ibadanland with dedication, loyalty and commitment to tradition.

    The Olubadan also said the promotion to the position of Abese Balogun and other positions below it would be announced later.
