Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham on Thursday, September 17, 2026, rejected her inclusion in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos state Campaign Council’s entertainment and creative economy directorate.
Abraham, in an Instagram story post, urged the public to disregard reports suggesting that she had been included in the campaign council.
“I’m not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently. I am staying out of politics. Please disregard the supposed inclusion of my name in any campaign committee,” she wrote.
Her name appeared on a list of members of the entertainment and creative economy directorate unveiled on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre ahead of the council’s formal inauguration scheduled for today at the APC secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
Among those listed in the directorate are actors Jide Kosoko and Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, as well as actresses Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Akintola, Bukky Wright and Fathia Balogun.
Toke Benson-Awoyinka is listed as Director of the directorate, while Kosoko is named Co-Director and Badmus as Deputy Director.
Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, was named Secretary, while Dare Olateju was listed as Assistant Secretary.
Other members listed include Saheed Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Tayo Sobola, Abiola Adebayo, Remi Oshodi, Foluke Daramola, Kikelomo Balogun, Bopo Oyekan Ismaila, Rasaq Yusuf, Aderinola Philips, Olamide Maja and Abbey Lanre.
Musicians and entertainers on the list include Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere, Adewale Ayuba, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, popularly known as Malaika; Akorede Babatunde Okunola, known as Osupa; Temitope Adekunle, popularly known as Small Doctor; Sule Adiro Ataweye, Yemisi Falaye, Leke Babatunde Akinrowo, Kayode Fahm and Aruna Ishola.
