2023: APC presidential campaign council releases revised campaign calendar

    The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) has released the revised campaign calendar of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, ahead of the forthcoming general election.

    The review came after a crucial and strategic meeting that was held between Tinubu, his running mate, Kashim Shettima, members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), and the campaign council in Abuja on Tuesday night, January 10.

    The revised timetable showed that President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to attend the party’s presidential campaign rallies in Kwara state on January 17, Bauchi state on January 23, while he will lead the southwest zone campaign to Ogun state on the January 25, according to The Nation.

    The Sokoto campaign earlier slated for January 16 will hold on January 29, while the south-south mega rally is expected to take place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital on the January 30.

    The president will be present at the rally in Lafia, Nasarawa state on February 4, while he will play the chief host on January 6in Kastina state.

    He is also billed to storm Owerri, Imo state, on February 14.

    In addition, the president will attend the grand finale rally of the APC presidential campaign rally on February 18 in Lagos state.

    According to the revised timetable, Tinubu is slated to have an interactive session with NESG on January 13.

    He will also engage all APC state chairmen, governorship and national assembly candidates the next day.

    The campaign train will hit Calabar on January 19, while Taraba state will play host to the campaign team on January 20.

    The party’s presidential campaign train will move to Abia state on January 21, Benue state on January 26, and Zamfara state are on January 28, while the campaign council round up the month in Anambra state on the January 31.

    The vice-presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shetimma, is billed for the launching and commissioning of tractors for the All Farmers Progressive Association (AFPA) in Abuja on January 27.

    Kebbi state will play host to the campaign team on the February 1, while Ekiti and Osun states, will take their turn on February 2 and 3.

    Rallies in Oyo, Kogi and Rivers $tates are scheduled for February 7, 8 and 9, and the train will move to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on the 11th of February.

    Gombe, Borno and Kano states presidential campaign rallies are billed for the 13th, 15th and 16th of February respectively, while the Osun state rally will hold on the February 18.

    Meanwhile, Tinubu will engage in a town hall meeting with health professionals in Abuja on the February 10, and a strategic engagement with southwest leaders in Lagos state on February 17.

    The party also planned a mega rally to round off its campaign on the February 18, in Lagos state, while February 21 to 24 os earmarked for election planning ahead of the presidential and national assembly election on February 25.
