The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has said that he is richer than the president of the United States (US), Joe Biden, and cannot steal public funds if elected into power.
Obi declared that he is richer than Biden, who is worth $8.9 million, because God had “over blessed” him.
The former Anambra state governor also emphasized that he would not steal public funds if elected president in 2023, according to The Witness.
In a viral video clip where Obi was addressing some of his supporters in the US, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate said that, “If I steal public funds that I’m not entitled to, God will punish my children and me.
“I am saying this because God has given me more than enough.
“I say to people, President Biden is worth $8.9 million. Why should somebody like me steal public funds when I am richer than the American President?
“I am already over-blessed by God. We just need to develop our country.
“I’m not looking for a private jet, sophisticated house or to buy a house in the United States (US) because I can’t live in America,” he added.
It is worth noting that the Labour Party flag-bearer for the 2023 Nigeria presidential election is currently being hosted by Nigerians in the United States.
