The Accord Party (AP) House of Representatives candidate for Atisbo/Saki east/Saki west federal constituency in Oyo state, Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, has passed away.
Ogunmola, an ex-chairman of Atisbo local government, died few hours after attending a political function in Saki, according to The Nation.
It was gathered that the politician died when he was being moved from Saki, his base, to Lagos state.
Another source said that Ogunmola had just finished a programme in Saki when he complained that he was not feeling well, which prompted the move to take him to Lagos.
It is worth noting that Ogunmola’s successor in office as council chairman, Wasiu Owolabi, died in an auto accident few months ago.
