Singer, Adekunle Kosoko aka Adekunle Gold has surprised his fans by gifting N250,000 each to several graduates who earned first-class degrees.
The singer had taken to X (formerly Twitter) to ask his followers who graduated with first-class honours to share their academic transcripts.
“If you graduated with First class, post your transcripts,” he wrote.
The post quickly went viral, amassing thousands of likes and retweets, with many fans sharing their certificates and results.
Adekunle Gold later revealed that the beneficiaries were randomly selected and advised them to check their inboxes for confirmation.
Some lucky recipients shared screenshots of the N250,000 transfers, expressing gratitude for the singer’s generosity.
This won’t be the first time the singer will show acts of kindness to random individuals. He has been vocal about his sickle cell journey, most notably through his 2022 single, 5 Star.
Last month, he introduced a free health insurance programme to support 1,000 individuals living with sickle cell disease.
In July 2024, the singer had emphasised his commitment to advocacy, stating his mission is to help others with the condition, feel safe and supported.
