Air force officer, Sgt Solomon arrested in connection with attack on NDA in Kaduna (Photos)

    Following an attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, by some bandits, a Nigerian Air Force officer, identified as Sergeant Torsobo Solomon has been arrested.

    The Nigerian military and intelligence services uncovered him as one of the collaborators of the attack. He is currently attached to the Air Force Comprehensive School, Yola.

    According to Daily Post, the military announced through a statement that he was arrested on Monday, 8 November, in Yola, capital of Adamawa State.

    The statement reads: “On 08 Nov 21, at about 0600hr, NAF07/ 23922, SGT Torsobo Solomon of 153 BSG (Air Force Comprehensive School Yola) was arrested on the order of the Base Commander as requested by the NDA Commander for an offense connecting with arms and ammunition with recent bandit attack at NDA Kaduna

    “At about 0815hr, ATR with reg no NAF 930 arrived, flight in line to convey him from Yola to NDA Kaduna for further interrogation.”

    The NDA released Solomon’s photo and announced he is to be flown to the Army Training Regiment (ATR) in Kaduna.

    The hit on the well-fortified military asset is considered one of the most audacious attacks against Nigeria’s Armed Forces in history.

    The deadly assault on August 24, left two officers Lieutenant Commander Wulah and Flight Lieutenant CM Okoronkwo dead.

    Another officer second Lieutenant Onah sustained gunshot wounds, while Major Christopher Datong was kidnapped and later released.

    The non-state armed actors attacked the NDA campus in Afaka, Kaduna State, around 1:30 am.
