Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State held a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday at the State House, Abuja.
Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Emeka Offor accompanied the governor during the visit.
Speaking after the closed-door meeting, Soludo raised concerns over the economic impact of the sit-at-home directive by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in the state.
He noted that Anambra was losing business opportunities and revenue due to the action.
The meeting was confirmed in a post on X by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy.
Speaking in Abuja after the visit, Soludo defended his administration’s clampdown on the sit-at-home enforcement, emphasizing the need to restore normal economic activities and ensure that residents and businesses in Anambra are not disadvantaged.
The meeting underscores the federal government’s continued dialogue with state executives to address regional challenges and promote economic stability.
