A Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Abubakar Musa, on Friday, January 27, slumped and died inside his office in Jahun local government area of Jigawa state.
The state police spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adamu, who confirmed the death in a statement issued on Saturday, January 28, said that the incident happened on Friday night in the DPO’s office, according to Daily Post.
Adamu noted that, “SP Abubakar Musa died around 9:00 pm on Friday evening while closing from his official duty.”
He explained that the deceased was rushed to the Jahun General Hospital, Rashid Shekoni General Hospital, and was later moved to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Recall that the DPO of Seme police division in Lagos state, SP Mojeed Salami, on January 10, also slumped and died in his office.
According to police sources, Salami complained of headache and visited a hospital on the day he passed away.
