Saani made this appeal in a statement, noting that the ASUU strike has entered its seventh month without resolution. He said the unresolved ASUU strikes have turned the youth and future leaders of the country into hopelessness on one hand and potential political tools on the other. “As the political parties kick-start their campaigns to solicit votes from the electorate, I appeal to all the stakeholders to quickly come together and resolve all the contentious issues and allow our children and wards to return back to schools.” He noted that as the government is solving the problems of insurgents, it may also be breeding a new generation of potential ‘idle hands’ for various vices. He appealed to all Muslims not to allow themselves to be used for any unIslamic activities during and after the political campaigns. “I enjoin all our Muslim brothers and Sisters to ensure that they perform their civic responsibilities through the 2023 electoral process according to Islamic injunctions.
