Auto crash kills two, injures many in Lagos (Photos)

    Two persons have died in a four-vehicle accident at Odo Itiya Alaro, which is located on the bridge connecting Maryland and Ojota, Ikorodu road, Lagos state, today April 29.

    A tipper, an empty tanker with registration number FKJ-506XM, an articulated flatbed truck laden with metal coils, a grey Toyota Camry with registration number ABC-261AJ (Abuja), a tipper with registration number T-12015LA laden with 30tons sharp sand, and two commercial buses were among the vehicles involved in the accident.

    The tipper truck lost control while traveling at high speeds and collided with the automobiles, causing multiple accidents.

    Unfortunately, at the scene of the accident, two adults (one female and one male) were declared dead. At the scene, the male adult was given over to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU), while the female was taken by her relatives.

    FRSC Ambulance, Lagos state Ambulance Service Bus (LASAMBUS) transported several people to nearby hospitals after they were injured.

    The teams of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), and the Nigeria Police, also participated in the response
