Barely 48 hours after an attack was launched in Kaduna, bandits, again, hit Milgoma community in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of the state, abducting six persons, including children.

According to Daily Trust, the latest development occurred at about 9:00 pm on Friday.

The bandits were said to have stormed the community in large numbers and attacked a commercial motorcyclist who is currently receiving treatment at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika.

Speaking to the publication, an anonymous resident said the commercial motorcyclist was on his way home when he ran into the bandits who opened fire on him.

He added that the mother of the abducted children was released when the bandits discovered she had difficulty walking.

“The bandits initially abducted the children together with their mother but they discovered the mother had a problem with her legs so they left her behind and went away with the children. The other three people were abducted within the community,” the resident said.

At the time of filing this report, the Kaduna State Government and Police command had not released statements on the incident.

It would be recalled that last week, bandits stormed the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Centre in Zaria and abducted some babies. Similarly, a fresh attack was launched on the Bethel Baptist secondary school in Chikun Local Government Area in the early hours of Monday.

Over 126 pupils of the school were confirmed to have been kidnapped.
