Alhaji Ibrahim Bapetel, the governorship candidate of the Action Congress in the 2007 governorship elections in Adamawa State is dead.
Bapetel who was a key member of former Governor Boni Haruna’s team served as Commissioner for Finance and later Secretary to the State Government during Haruna’s tenure.
He however stunned many in Adamawa when he decamped to the Peoples’ Democratic Party earlier in the year.
He died in India on Thursday morning
