Bijou Phillips Divorces Convicted Rapist Danny Masterson

Masterson was convicted of raping three women on multiple occasions… Bijou Phillips has filed for divorce from Danny Masterson, following his conviction and 30-year-to-life prison sentence for rape. The couple has been married since 2009 and have a 10-year-old daughter together. In her divorce filing, Phillips cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Masterson was convicted of raping three women on multiple occasions between 2001 and 2003. He is currently awaiting sentencing. Phillips has not commented publicly on the divorce or Masterson’s conviction. Her lawyer, Peter A. Lauzon, said, “Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains with her daughter.” He continues, “This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family. Mr. Masterson was always present for Ms. Phillips during her most difficult times of her life. Ms. Phillips acknowledges that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to their daughter.” Phillips is asking for spousal support, attorneys fees, and her legal name to be restored to Bijou Phillips.
