About 24 hours after the foiled attempt by the Boko Haram sect to free some of their members being held in Giwa Barracks, members of the terrorist sect defied the 24-hour curfew imposed on Maiduguri and its environs and launched another attack on the barracks on Saturday morning.
Gunshots and explosions could be heard in the area of the barracks as early as 8.15 am on Saturday. Residents informed that the terrorists probably regrouped overnight and decided to launch a fresh attack.
