Breaking News: Customs C-G, Ali, Names 6 New D-CGs AS Shake-Up Continues

    As the unprecedented shake-up in the Nigeria Customs Service continues, its Comptroller-General, Hameed Ali, on Monday named six Deputy Comptrollers-General and eight Assistant Comptrollers-General.

    Mr Wale Adeniyi, NCS spokesman, who made this known in a statement in Abuja said the new appointees, would replace the top officials that either resigned or retired last week, in acting capacities and all the appointments took immediate effect.

    The six new DCGs are: Idris Suleiman (Finance Administration and Technical Service); Iya Umar (Tariff and Trade) and Dan Ugo (Enforcement Investigation and Inspection); Grace Adeyemo (Excise, FTZ & Industrial Incentive); Austin Warikoru (Human Resource Development); and Paul Ukaigwe (Strategic Research and Policy).

    The eight new Assistant Comptrollers-General are: Umar Sanusi (Headquarters); Funsho Adegoke (ICT); Mohammed Abbas (Board); Olatunji Aremu (Command & Staff College); Charles Edike (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘A’); Abubakar Dangaladima (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘B’); Azarema Abdulkadir (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘C’) and Chidi Augustine (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘D’).

    Adeniyi further stated that seven other officers were redeployed in the new exercise. They included Adesina Odunmbaku (Finance and Technical Service); Robert Alu (Tariff and Trade); Ade Dosumu (Enforcement and Drugs); Monday Abueh (Excise & Industrial Incentive); Ahmed Mohammed (Human Resource Management); Patience Iferi (Strategic Research and Policy) and Aminu Abba (Technical Services).
