The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has thrown away the petition by the All Progressive Congress APC in Rivers over the last Saturday elections in the oil-rich state. Te INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega disclosed that the commission had met and deliberated over the findings of the committee set to investigate APC’s allegations. He said the commission however, found out that the allegations were not strong enough to annul the results or order a re-run.
