Senator Ahmed Zanna, Borno Central Senatorial District, has died in Abuja.
Zanna’s death was confirmed by Senate spokesman, Senator Enyinanya Abaribe, as well as his son, on Saturday.
He died while being taken to the National Hospital, Abuja, for medical attention.
The deceased Senator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was re-elected on the party’s platform in the March 28 general elections.
Zanna, who just returned from a medical treatment abroad on Friday, is said to have died of a prolonged liver cancer. Details later.
