The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced the appointment of Bruno Labbadia, a renowned German football coach, as the new head coach of the Super Eagles, with immediate effect.
This announcement was made public through the NFF’s official X handle in a tweet released on Tuesday, August 27.
The statement read, “The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that it has reached an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, Super Eagles.”
“The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development sub-committee to appoint Mr Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles,” according to the federation’s General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi.
Bruno Labbadia takes the reins as the 37th Head Coach of the Super Eagles, succeeding Finidi George, who recently stepped down from the position.
With Labbadia’s appointment, a new era begins for the Nigerian national team, marking a fresh chapter in their football journey.
