President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, December 29, arrived in Kogi state to inaugurate projects developed by the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
At the time of filing this report, the president has already inaugurated the Reference Hospital in the Okene region of the state.
President Buhari is also expected to commission the new palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, among other projects within the state.
Recall that the state government, in a statement signed by the commissioner for information and communications, Kingsley Fanwo, on Wednesday, declared today, Thursday, a public holiday, in order to ensure a hitch-free reception for President Buhari.
Fanwo also urged the people of Kogi state to come out en-masse to receive the president and display the hospitality they are known for.
The state government also urged all labour unions and security agencies in Kogi state to ensure full compliance to the directive, Daily Trust reports.
