General David Petraeus on Friday quit his job as the Director of the United States’ Central Intelligence Agency after admitting that he had an extra-marital affair.
He had submitted his resignation letter on Thursday and it got the President’s approval on Friday. The four-star General stated that he showed “extremely poor judgment” in engaging in the affair. He became the Director of the CIA in September 2011. He is presently married to Holly Petraeus, the marriage was contracted 37 years ago.
