The ever busy headquarters of the Corporate Affairs Commission in Maitama, Abuja, on Friday witnessed a shut down as members of staff embarked on a strike action over some “illegal deductions” being made from their salaries by the management. Most of the offices within the commission’s premises were locked up as workers refused to return to work until the management puts a stop to the illegal deductions being made.
The CAC’s spokesperson could not be reached as of the time of filing this report.
Lawyers and others who had gone to the commission to either register new companies or conduct searches were not attended to.
