Some residents who defaulted the curfew order of the government were flogged by the Cross River State COVID-19 taskforce team. The flogging was recorded and the video surfaced online.
It was gathered that the Task Force moved around with their vehicles and when defaulters are sighted, they are being chased and flogged.
The curfew in Cross River State is part of the action by the state to fight the COVID-19 pandemic currently ravaging the globe.
Even though Cross River has not recorded any case of Coronavirus, the government is doing all it can to remain that way.
The Street Journal recently reported that the Governor of the state, Prof. Ben Ayade flagged-off the “no mask no movement campaign”.
