The Delta State Police Command has arrested a Point of Sale (POS) operator for receiving the sum of N4 million from kidnappers.
Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, October 17.
He said the POS operator received just N40,000 as profit for the transaction.
The Police spokesman warned POS operators against getting themselves involved in such criminal transactions.
“My message to POS operators, transaction above N500,000 can get you into trouble,” he warned.
Edafe said the POS operators should be wise in doing their businesses, saying, “You may argue that you are doing business, but before your lawyer will get you out, you may spend sometime cooling off in prison.”
