Information technology, IT training centre, Data Scientists Network, DSN, formerly known as Data Science Nigeria has said it will empower one million Nigerian youths in artificial intelligence, AI, to impact two billion people from the African emerging markets.
DSN made the fresh commitment in Lagos while celebrating five years of operations in Nigeria.
As part of its plans to position the company globally, its founder, Dr Bayo Adekanmbi, said the company is also ready to unveil a new logo to reflect its global positioning and expansion plans beyond Nigeria.
According to him, the logo will reflect the organisation’s ambition to deliver high-impact AI solutions across the world, while also expanding its free training and research network across many countries beyond Nigeria.
Adekanmbi said: “DSN would continue to impact on learners in Nigeria and beyond, having established its presence in 49 countries.
“From January next year, we will restructuring our learning platform into a centralised learning platform, where all our established centres around the world can connect as we will build weekly learning platform that anyone, anywhere can connect to.

“We will be partnering with global experts in different parts of the world to facilitate the initiative. The idea is to change the narrative of emerging markets and position Nigeria as the centralised learning hub.”
He disclosed that in the past five years, DSN’s work has won academic and social impact awards across the world and has been showcased as a best practice in delivering scalable learning, research and social good solution development.
The work of DSN has reached over 500,000 online and offline learners, coupled with high impact research papers, which have been showcased at the world’s leading Al conferences.
“DSN has designed an inclusive learning model through its unique offline learning platform of over 20,000 AI learning videos containing publicly available content from top international universities curated in external drive and distributed freely across Nigeria to address the challenge of poor Internet,” he added.
