Some drug dealers operating between Nnewi and Nnobi, in Anambra State have beaten a man to stupor for informing the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) of their nefarious activities in the area.

According to a report by Independent, for some time now, the NDLEA had been chasing after the drug peddlers and their patronisers about and they had also arrested some of them in the area.

The drug pushers numbering over 25 persons were said to have beaten the man identified as Ajapa, a chicken garnishee at Nnobi abattoir.

The drug dealers reportedly descended on him and knocked him to coma.

Sources said the drug peddlers accused Ajapa of inviting men of the NDLEA to their residence and hideout located close to the abattoir, a thing that provoked them to anger.

The drug dealers were said to have beaten the man as a warning to deter him and any other hidden informants from making the mistake next time.

Ajapa was reportedly rescued to the hospital by some good Samaritans who rushed to the place.
