Edwin Clark, a former federal commissioner for information and a prominent Ijaw leader, has died.
According to a statement from the Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town in Delta State, the former senator passed away on Monday, February 17.
“The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February, 2025. The family appreciates your prayers at this time. Other details will be announced later by the family,” the statement read.
This follows the recent death of Afenifere leader Ayo Adebanjo, who was 96 years old.
Clark was 97 at the time of his passing.
Until his death, Clark served as the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF.
