Alhaji Ibrahim Abdukkadir
The Emir of Gaya in Kano State, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdukkadir, 91, is dead.
Alhaji Abbas Ibrahim-Gaya, the Chairman, Media, in the Emirate, announced this on Wednesday in Kano.
Ibrahim-Gaya said that the Emir died after a brief illness, adding that the late traditional ruler is survived by three wives, 28 children and many grandchildren.
According to Ibrahim-Gaya, the funeral prayer of the late emir will be conducted at 4 p.m. in the deceased’s palace.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gaya was among the four newly-created emirates by Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje.
The others are Bichi, Rano and Karaye.
