The Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, Mr Wilson Inalegwu, has charged police officers in the command to desist from acts that could smear the image of the force.
Inalegwu’s charge is contained in statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by the command spokesman, Mr Anjuguri Manzah, an Assistant Superintendent of Police.
According to the statement, the Police Commissioner tasked his men at a meeting he held with Heads of Departments, Area Commanders and DPOs.
It said Inalegwu specifically charged senior officers in the command to set good example to their subordinates in the efforts to provide security for lives and property in the territory.
It further lauded the officers for their performance and urged them to “key into the visionary leadership of I-G Solomon Arase by re-doubling their efforts and discharging their duties professionally.”
