FG in talks with Switzerland to strengthen bilateral ties (Photos)

    Vice president Kashim Shettima on Tuesday, March 24, received the vice president and minister of foreign affairs of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, in Abuja for talks aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

    Cassis was accompanied by his spouse, Paola Rodoni Cassis, and other members of the Swiss delegation, and they were welcomed by Shettima at the presidential wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

    In a statement by his media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, the visit will focus on enhancing cooperation between the two countries in areas such as trade, migration, and human capital development.

    Other members of the Swiss delegation include ambassador Patricia Danzig, director of the Swiss agency for development and cooperation; ambassador Philip Stalder, head of the Africa division at the ministry of foreign affairs; Ambassador Tim Enderlin, head of the peace and human rights division at the ministry of foreign affairs; and Ambassador Patrick Egloff, Swiss ambassador to Nigeria.
