The federal government has said it is set to begin the manufacturing of made-in-Nigeria helicopters with experts already trained for mass production of the aircraft.
The executive vice chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna, while disclosing this after a private meeting with the President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, August 5, stated that he was in the presidential villa to brief the President on the activities of the agency and to present its financial report as requested by the president, The Witness reports.
Recall that President Buhari had in 2021 approved that 1% of the federation allocation be given to National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to fund the agency’s activities and engineering innovations.
Meanwhile, President Buhari has approved the sum of N24 billion for National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to execute a smart modular irrigation project.
